Site marking / location help: The applicant must physically stake the proposed centerline of the driveway/access location. Place a clearly visible stake with flagging at the approximate center of the proposed driveway where it intersects the road right-of-way. The stake should remain in place until the site review has been completed. Failure to properly mark the proposed access location may delay review and approval. A Google Earth aerial image, site sketch, survey, or other map showing the proposed driveway location is strongly encouraged and often helps staff locate and review the site more efficiently.

Additional Information May Be Required: Depending on site conditions, WTPA may require additional information before an access permit can be approved, including:

A property survey when property boundaries, easements, road right-of-way limits, or setback locations are unclear.
Engineering information when sight distance, roadway safety, drainage, grading, culvert sizing, steep slopes, or other technical concerns exist.
Additional site plans, measurements, photographs, or supporting documentation necessary to evaluate the application.

The applicant is responsible for the cost of any required surveys, engineering, testing, or other professional services.

Permit Approval Notice: Approval of an access permit does not authorize work outside the applicant's property rights and does not eliminate the need to obtain any other permits, approvals, easements, or permissions that may be required by law or by other governmental agencies.
